AUTUMN SPLENDOR

An autumn page of my darling son Anthony. All papers are from Basic Grey Mellow Collection. I added cork to this page which I distressed with the Vintage Photo ink from Distress Ink (Ranger Products). Flowers are from the local dollar store. Buttons are from my Aunt's stash as well as the ribbon. Ribbon holders are chipboard which have been painted Walnut Stain with Distress Crackle Paint (Ranger Products). I couldn't resist the colors in these papers which made the leaves on the photo pop right out!

Ah the Friday night crop... Christine and I cropped from 07:00 to 11:00 last night, as usual it was relaxing, fun and creative. Thanks Christine for a great time your so much fun to be with! It's always interesting to share our everyday moments. Can't wait for our trip SHOP till we DROP!

Ah le crop du vendredi soir... Christine et moi avons fait du scrapbooking de 07:00 à 11:00 hier soir, comme d'habitude c'est toujours relaxant, plaisant et créatif. Merci Christine d'être mon amie, tu est tellement une belle personne à cotoyer! C'est toujours ressourçant de partager nos anecdotes de nos vies! Ah, que j'ai donc hâte à notre p'tit voyage! Thank you girls: Véronique, Stéphanie, Johanne for a wonderful supper last Friday night. What fun we had the food was delicious the beer went down quite well but better yet the company was exquisite! Isn't important to have good relationships where we can share a piece of our lives, have a couple of laughs, be silly, be ourselves and realize that good people are put on our life path for us to grow and enjoy life. Véronique I wish you all the BEST!

LO of my son Anthony way up in the trees at Arbre en Arbre which is such a fun place to discover. Many games for kids of all ages from tree to tree such as bridges, ropes, nets, tyroleans, etc.

FOR THE LOVE OF WATER - POUR L'AMOUR DE L'EAU

Anthony having fun on the tarzan swing, the purple waterslides and of course playing in the lake. One must visit this amazing waterpark it's fun at every age!

PEAR, FIG, BOURSIN CHEESE CROSTINI

On another note, I thought I'd share a wonderful recipe. This is delicious as an entrée with a good glass of red wine:

1 cup of figs, chopped
1/2 cup of port wine
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, finely chopped
2 basil leaves, finely chopped
1 pear, chopped
1 french bread (baguette) cut into 1 inch thick slices
1 garlic & herb boursin cheese

In a small saucepan on medium heat mix the figs, port wine, sugar, ginger and basil. Bring to a light boil while stirring. Simmer on medium for 10 minutes. Add the pear and simmer for an additionnal 15 minutes or until the liquid is completely absorbed. Put aside. Butter each bread slice with a generous amount of the cheese and top with the fig mix. Serve immediately with a glass of red wine. Enjoy!

J'ai pensé partager avec vous cette merveilleuse recette qui est délicieuse comme entrée avec un bon verre de vin rouge:

1 tasse de figues, hachées
1/2 tasse de porto
2 c. à table de sucre
2 c. à table de gingembre, haché finement
2 feuilles de basilic, hachées
1 poire, hachée
1 baguette de pain français, coupée en tranches de 1 pouce
1 fromage boursin à l'ail et fines herbes

Dans une casserole sur feu moyen mélanger ensemble les figues, porto, sucre, gingembre et basilic. Porter à ébuillition en brassant. Mijoter sur feu moyen pendant 10 minutes. Ajouter la poire et mijoter pendant 15 minutes additionnelles ou jusqu'à ce que le liquide soit complètement absorbé. Mettre de côté. Tartiner chaque tranche de pain avec le fromage boursin et garnir du mélange de figues. Servir immédiatement avec un bon verre de vin rouge. Bon Appétit!

BEACH MINI ALBUM

Hello girls,

Since winter is still hanging around on our doorsteps I needed to feel the beautiful warm sunny days of summer at the beach so I created this mini album (product from Bo Bunny) of family times with our 2 sons Samuel & Anthony at different beach locations we visited. The papers used are from K & Company Addison Collection. I doodled each letter in a different style with the white gel pen from Uniball Signo. Embellishments used are different ribbons in the same color hues as well as flowers, felt and buttons all from different companies.

Comme l'hiver est toujours omniprésente à nos portes j'avais le besoin de sentir la présence de l'été avec les chaudes journées ensoleilées à la plage, alors j'ai crée cette mini album (produit de Bo Bunny) de vacances estivales en famille avec nos deux fils Samuel et Anthony à diverses plages que nous avons visitées. Les papiers utilisées sont de la compagnie K & Company Collection Addison. J'ai fait du crayonnage de couleur blanc avec le crayon Uniball Signo. Les rubans, fleurs, feutres et boutons utilisés sont tous de la même gamme de couleur et ce dans diverses compagnies.

FINALLY!!!! Here I am .... o.k. I've been busy... promise to post regularly from now on!

Here's a LO of our fun crop at the Wildflower Inn last November which was hosted by Sheila Lewis of the Scrap Box located in Lyndonville, Vermont. What fun we had we cropped till we dropped!
